Anthony Mackie will join 24 hours Play on Broadway

Among the many performers scheduled to take part in the event are Ashton Kutcher ,Demi Moore, and Jennifer Aniston, as well as Liev Schreiber, Billy Crudup, Sam Rockwell, Julia Stiles,Rachel Dratch and the downtown power couple of David Cross and Amber Tamblyn.

This year’s playwrights include David Lindsay-Abaire, Nathan Jackson and Theresa Rebeck, and the musical guests include the Swedish rock band A Camp. The annual production, which will take place on Nov. 9 at the American Airlines Theater, calls for creative types to write, direct and perform six original short plays in just under a day. The event is sponsored by Montblanc and is a benefit for Urban Arts Partnership, which provides arts programs for New York public schools.

“If there’s one thing I hate about reading, writing, and conducting interviews, it’s when the subject gives canned responses that seem like they’ve been sped through a publicist-run car wash to make sure nothing controversial, close-to-controversial, or interesting gets said. I’m even a fan of boring answers just as long as they’re original and boring. It’s the scripted bullshit that really seems like a waste of time. In fact, I’ve even written features when someone was so fake that it become culturally fascinating.”

We just heard that the sickeningly brilliant actor Anthony Mackie was nominated a Gotham Award for Best Ensemble Performance for “The Hurt Locker”! I thought both him and Renner were phenomenal in the film, but he deserved even more praise for creating such a complex, dynamic character.The non-smiling looks he do are too Cool !

One actor who’ll be like Denzel Washington soon is talented and genuinely warm young brother Anthony Mackie, with his art more and more expanding, I bet that one day the southern dude will hit the Oscars red carpet.After appearing in The Bacchae” in New York as part of Shakespeare in the Park, Mackie hit the Adjustement Bureau’ shooting with Matt Damon and Emily Blunt starring- adapted from Philip K. Dick’s short story, the movie centers on a smooth-talking congressman whose political future is thrown in doubt by the arrival of a mysterious ballerina in his life.
