viktor-and-rolf01 - copie

I’m digging hard this fall outfit mixing an elaborate jersey pants and simple sneakers but do think Viktor & Rolf black waistcoat is completely out ot touch even if it was certainly done for style purpose.Note to the fashion industry: why men models are straight out of a scary teenage movie ?

The man helming Dior Homme just unveiled his rules when its comes to style on the Details website. He started straight away by dissing other fashion houses whom only care about the catwalk/show and certainly dont give a damn about how their clothes will be worn, hence why put on a regular guy its a real fashion mess. Here’s an excerpt

  • Don’t disguise your personality behind labels; impose it on the clothes.
  • speaking of grooming, there’s nothing less flattering than shaved legs.
  • Black is always good. It’s the basic.
  • Don’t just copy an outfit. Look in the mirror and do a reality check. It’s all about making the good match. You’ll know when something is right
  • Now men should be athletic, healthy. Today it’s about having a balance in life—having nice clothes, good food, and respecting your body.

The words “NO HUNTING, NO FISHING, NO FIREARMS without written permission” above the photo of a majestic elk adorned the invitation to the Junya Watanabe Comme des Garçons Man show, and the Fall 2009 collection trained its sights on the rod & gun crowd for inspiration.Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo’s stark, architectural pants, jackets, and button-front shirts are staples of the fashion elite. Elaborate shirts, suits, knits, and outerwear come in classic fabrics and colors, but they’re far from basic.I have shit that’s 10 years old and still going strong. The clothes, the quality of construction are breath-taking so is the price, jackets by Junya Watanabe start at $1,000.

Irrestisible fall 09 collection by Kean Etro giving the nowadays prep-wardrobe a hispter-soul-touch as if saville row gentlemen meet the countercultural mini-hippies movement.Kean Etro’scollection is more of a bourgeois -bohemian- executive sophisticately suited. So far, a few designers- Comme des Garcons, Yohji Yamamoto, Dries Van Noten -have been able to keep in this sense of casual comfort while being dressed up.Kean did it in a colourfully sui generi way:  Homey, warm and refined…
